Rolawn's new sprayer covers 500 acres a day

Rolawn, Europe’s largest producer of cultivated turf, best known for their Medallion® turf has taken delivery of a state of the art sprayer that it believes is one of the largest available in Europe. The Agrifac ZA3400P Sprayer is 48 metres wide when opened, and its 4,000 litre tank enables it to spray 500 acres per day. Key features include an auto-levelling device for the booms, GPS installed for auto shut off of nozzles for minimum overlap, auto steer and quadruple nozzle bodies for 4 different types of jet depending upon water volume and weather conditions.
Guy Barrett, Production Director commented “The new sprayer will assist in ensuring the highest levels of quality are maintained by enabling more efficient and precise application, reducing overlap to a minimum. We can also choose the ideal conditions for spraying and can react immediately to the requirements of the crop. Furthermore, despite the size of the machine, the ground pressure in terms of psi is very low and equal to a footprint, which comes into its own during wet conditions.”
