Edinburgh's Charlotte Square and Princes Street Gardens rejuvenated with Rolawn Medallion turf

Rolawn’s Medallion Turfmaster 1300 rolls have been used as part of a major restoration programme at two of Edinburgh’s most famous city centre gardens.

Edinburgh City Council appointed specialist contractor Sportsmasters UK Ltd to undertake the project to re-turf Princes Street Gardens, the city’s best known park which lies beneath the castle and Charlotte Square, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These two popular sites form a key role in Edinburgh city life, hosting various events, concerts and festivals.

Gavin Brown, Managing Director, Sportsmasters UK Ltd commented “Vital to the success of this high profile project is turf quality which meets the exacting standards demanded by our client, turf rolls that are efficient and easy to lay, and a delivery service that can cope with such a large project in a heavily populated major city centre. We selected Rolawn and their Medallion turfmaster rolls because they meet all of these requirements and more. The turf quality is excellent, logistical planning is faultless and we are more than confident the gardens will look fantastic for both residents and visitors alike.”
