Lower Derwent Sports & Social Club select Rolawn

21/07/2010

Lower Derwent Sports & Social Club near York has selected Rolawn’s Screened Loam topsoil and Medallion Lawn Seed for their new junior teams mini-soccer pitch.

Michael Barker, LDSSC Committee member commented “Following the Elvington Harriers FC grant running over 3 years we have set up new junior teams and redeveloped a mini-soccer pitch using Rolawn’s Screened Loam topsoil and overseeding this with their Medallion Lawn Seed. The new mini-soccer pitch will provide a dedicated pitch/training area for our junior teams.”

Lower Derwent Sports & Social Club is committed to providing sporting and recreational facilities for Elvington. As well as providing playing facilities for various sports such as football, cricket, netball and tennis for the local area, the club has an excellent clubhouse available for hire. The club also works closely with the City of York Council and is part of the council’s Sports Development Plan together with Schools and other organizations within the community. http://www.york.gov.uk/leisure/sports/
