The Grass is greener at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens

08/07/2014

The world famous Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey, Hampshire, have opened their extension to the Winter Garden, which includes a sweeping new lawn which draws visitors in to view the new planting schemes. The Winter Garden, believed to be the biggest in Europe, contains over 650 plants grown specifically for their winter effect.

Wolfgang Bopp, Director of the gardens commented, ‘We are so impressed with the rapid establishment of Rolawn’s Medallion turf, which looks even better now than when we first laid it. After only a few weeks the new lawn is a magnificent accompaniment to the existing and new plant species.’

He added ‘Many visitors have commented on the quality of the lawn and what’s more our own staff are very impressed with both the colour and how neatly it mows. We are grateful to Rolawn for their sponsorship and we look forward to working with them in the future.’
