Hallstone Playchips provide an excellent, impact absorbing safety surface for children’s play areas and being light in colour, they also provide a visually appealing alternative to bark mulch or aggregates.
Their free draining characteristics provide a cleaner play surface.

- Produced from a variety of hardwood species, wood content 95%+ (5-30mm) with fines content (below 8mm) of less than 5%

- Certified to British Standards EN 1177:1998 Impact Absorbing Playground Surfacing & BS 7188:1998 Ease of Ignition Test
- Sustainable source
- pH typically 4.5 - 5.5
- Clean, with a light brown colour
- Not treated with methyl bromide
- Weight to volume ratio (bulk density) is typically 200-300kg/m3
- Recommended coverage depth of 150mm - 300mm when used as a safety surface
