Information for Sports Turf Professionals

When considering the suitability of turf for sports applications our advice is to begin with the grass species and cultivars the turf is grown from and the soil type it was grown on. Rolawn turf is unnetted and grown on the finest sandy loam from top seed mixtures as independently ranked by the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI), the UK's leading independent authority in turfgrass research agronomy.

Rolawn Medallion® turf is highly adaptable to variations in rainfall, sunlight, soil type, pH and nutrients. It is suitable as a playing surface in a variety of applications.

Rolawn Minster Pro® turf is the ultimate fine bladed 100% fescue turf that utilises the most advanced cultivar technology to produce a deep rooting turf that meets the demands of today's golf and bowling green.

Rolawn's patented Turfmaster™ System combines Rolawn turf in a large roll format with specialist, easy to use laying equipment. This enables rapid laying, giving significant labour savings on sizeable projects. Both Medallion® and Minster Pro® turf are available in the Turfmaster™ roll format. You don't need to buy specialist equipment because we provide it on free loan. As a guide three men using one machine can lay in excess of 2,000m² in one day.

Rolawn's Profresh® System is a unique patented and trademarked system which, when used in conjunction with our specially developed turf growing regime, significantly extends the shelf life of turf.

This means there is less deterioration of the turf whilst en route to customers and by combining deliveries, distribution efficiences are improved and CO2 emissions generated by delivery vehicles are reduced.
