The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Welder-Fabricator to join our growing team based at Seaton Ross near York. This new position has become available due to continued growth and investment within the business, this is a great opportunity to join a successful company.

Reporting to the R&D Manager and working to the highest standard, safely and efficiently with a high level of attention to detail, the role is responsible for the fabrication, welding and assembly of components for horticultural products and agricultural machinery.

This role would suit a candidate from a Manufacturing/Fabrication background with experience in high quality MIG Welding.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Some of the key tasks and responsibilities of the role are:
  • Work with a sense and awareness of safety at all times
  • Work on build/weld fixtures to tight tolerances
  • Have the ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Able to work deliver a high standard of finish and complete quality checks
  • Carry out some manual lifting
  • Assist the workshop team with remedial work to agricultural vehicles, plant and machinery.

Who are we looking for?

  • The must-have requirements for this role are:
  • Fabrication background, ideally time served with 3+ years in a similar role
  • Able to follow and achieve high standards of Safety and Quality
  • MIG and TIG Welding Experience
  • Excellent finishing skills
  • Hard working and personable manner
  • Quality focused with a keen eye for detail
