Choosing the right gardening tools will be one of the reasons many people attend BBC Gardeners’ World Live; the right tools though should also include the key elements that make any beautiful garden…topsoil, turf and mulch.
At Rolawn, we love the show season as we get to work with so many of the industry’s leading designers, contractors, broadcasters and worldwide recognised experts. This year, we are delighted to be sponsors of the show gardens at BBC Gardeners’ World Live, supplying a mixture of Medallion® turf, Blended Loam Topsoil, Beds & Borders Topsoil, Veg & Fruit Topsoil, ProMulch®, Landscaping Bark and Play Grade Bark.
As a result, we have had the fantastic opportunity to see the NEC outdoor show area transform over a matter of days at the hands of design visionaries, utilising all their vast knowledge and skill to create resplendent engaging gardens.
During the show build, one of the key elements many people never witness is the spirit of camaraderie and community that exists. Despite best laid plans, shows always throw up the unexpected, sometimes putting extreme pressure on a particular garden build. It is when this happens you see the generous warm-spirited nature blossom between all the garden designers and exhibitors. If someone needs help, the troops answer the call. It may be a burst water pipe, or a freak storm, but nothing stops the ‘we can fix it’ mentality that thrives within the industry.
We love seeing our products used on show gardens and the part they play in making the gardens look fabulous. Plants start to root very quickly in the topsoils, which helps them look their best throughout the show. Turf, if not used as an actual lawn, is laid as a picture frame around the gardens, to really set the scene ready for judging.
Working with the show organisers has been an excellent experience, we have loved providing our products to the show gardens and watching them develop these past few days. All that is left is for us to set up our own stand, E390, where Rolawn experts will be on hand to offer advice and help with your lawns and garden projects. Come and see us, enter our ‘Grow Challenge’, and if it is not too late, get 20% off standard advance tickets by using the Rolawn code RL20, when buying tickets on the BBC Gardeners’ World Live website www.bbcgardenersworldlive.com
