We are currently recruiting for an Environmental / Biodiversity Advisor to join our team based at Seaton Ross near York.
Core responsibilities for the role:
Intellectual and technical lead on matters relating to biodiversity and the environment with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations affecting the construction and landscaping industries.
Provide in-depth knowledge and technical input to improving business process and product development related to biodiversity, sustainability and environmental matters.
Become the key source of expertise regarding relevant environmental and construction sector legislation, regulations, standards and guidance.
Establish acceptance by industry participants as a trusted and knowledgeable technical adviser and develop a wide knowledge of biodiversity and environmental matters and understand their relevance to target markets.
The ideal candidate will:
Bring keen analytical, managerial and written skills into play as a central contributor to innovative and high quality environmentally sustainable solutions across a range of products and services.
Good organisation and time management skills, able to work independently and off their own initiative. Confident speaker with experience preparing and delivering presentations.
Demonstrate a passion for the Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainability, driving innovation and a desire to positively influence and develop those around them.
Have strong client-facing skills with excellent communication capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in pressurised situations and can be relied upon to deliver, irrespective of circumstances.
A Degree or equivalent in Environmental Sciences or suitably applicable fields is desirable, though candidates with relevant practical experience would be considered.
