Rolawn, Europe’s largest producer of cultivated turf and Britain’s leading supplier of high quality topsoil, has been awarded Conditional Gold status by the Green Achiever Scheme.
The award recognizes the successful programme of developments the company put in place since being awarded Conditional Silver in Autumn 2010, following an extensive environmental audit.
Paul Dawson, Rolawn’s Managing Director commented: “Green Achiever gave us a framework for continual environmental improvement so to be awarded gold status recognizes the steps the company has taken; from our sustainable and recycled topsoil products to our highly efficient turf operation.”
Deborah Cairns, Operations Manager at E4environment and with specific responsibility for the Green Achiever scheme, said: “Management at Rolawn Limited has demonstrated a conviction to enhancing their green status that sets them apart from many others. It is testimony to the company’s attitude that in economically challenging times focus on caring for the environment remains a priority. Well done and congratulations.”
