Rolawn turf arrives at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens

28/04/2014

Rolawn have teamed up with the world-famous Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey, Hampshire, to provide a new lawn as part of an extension to the Winter Garden.

David Jewell, Head of Collections at the gardens suggested that Rolawn become involved because a key part of his overall plan was including a lawn area that would combine high-wear tolerance with outstanding appearance and low maintenance.

The team who laid the new turf were led by Ian Bawcutt and all 700 square metres were laid within 24 hours.

David Jewell commented, “Despite a very wet winter and its after-effects the Winter Garden extension is on schedule and the new Medallion turf once established will form an excellent lawn to highlight the new planting scheme”.

He added, “We have been impressed with both the quality of Rolawn turf and overall uniformity which made installation much easier – the end result is ‘instant’ and looks excellent”.
