Rolawn Limited is celebrating after winning a gold medal for its conceptual show garden at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
Working again with designer Tony Smith of Hortus Infinitus, Rolawn’s garden called “Why?” aimed to express the complexity of the human mind and challenge people’s perception of what reality might be.
Rolawn’s Sales & Marketing Director Jonathan Hill said: “We are delighted to have won a Gold Medal at Hampton Court. We must say a huge thank you to Tony who designed and with his team, built the garden. The compliments we have received about how well the garden has been built, how wonderful the turf looks and how thought provoking the design is have been truly amazing.”
“Our show garden used a complex sculpture of what look like randomly assembled black timber rods, uniform turf and a golden nugget set in a hidden centre. Concepts are ideas that come from our imagination and which feed innovation and our company culture of innovation has been at the heart of our development for more than 40 years.
I hope that people will see the quality of our market leading products and be inspired to keep lawns as an intrinsic part of our nation’s gardens.”
