Europe’s first Trebro AutoStack 3 harvester is now up and running at Rolawn, the UK’s acknowledged market leading turf grower. The new machine enables the harvesting of the company’s technically advanced younger and thinner harvested turf with even greater efficiency and precision.
Customers are directly benefiting from the improved turf quality that this latest Rolawn investment brings. Turf rolls are now tighter and more consistent thanks to a specialist roll-up system that improves the pallet stacking capabilities of this fully self-contained automatic harvester.
Jonathan Hill, Rolawn’s Sales & Marketing Director, comments: “We’re about to enter our busiest period of the year and so I am delighted we have added this and other new kit to our turf harvesting fleet. Delivering technically superior turf to our customers sits at the heart of our business, the cutting-edge machinery we have invested in will help us to continue to meet that need.”
Additional new features on the AutoStack 3, such as improved depth control, camera guidance for shoeless steering, a second cutterhead, adjustable down pressure and improved operator visibility are already ensuring harvesting occurs with greater accuracy, and safety, whilst reducing wastage and lessening the company’s environmental impact. The AutoStack 3 is used by Rolawn in conjunction with the Trebro-TSR, a single head harvester that provides a level of manoeuvrability that facilitates harvesting in the harder to reach areas as well as in changeable conditions.
Rolawn’s fleet of vehicles also benefits from the recent addition of two new Fendt 314 Vario tractors which were purchased as part of the company’s ongoing drive to arm its highly experienced team with the means to improve turf consistency.
The company is now awaiting the arrival of a second AutoStack 3 to complete their turf cultivation and harvesting machinery upgrades for 2021.
