Rolawn BioScapes® Biodiverse Turf is a carefully cultivated turf blend created to support a healthier, more sustainable landscape. Combining specialist grass species with UK-native wildflowers, this biodiverse turf promotes pollinators, improves soil health, and enhances the ecological value of your outdoor space.

Unlike pure wildflower turf, BioScapes Turf balances a practical lawn with environmental benefits. The diverse mix delivers a resilient, low-maintenance surface while providing food sources and habitats for bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects. It’s an ideal choice for those seeking species rich lawn turf that looks natural and works hard for the environment.

Each roll covers approx. 1m² and is delivered fresh for optimal installation.

BioScapes® biodiverse lawns are designed to perform above and below ground. The wildflower species provide nectar, shelter, and variety for insects and small wildlife, while the deep-rooting fescue grasses improve aeration and soil structure.

 

Turf composition

  • 40% Creeping Red Fescue
  • 40% Slender Creeping Fescue
  • 20% UK-native wildflower mix, typically includes:
    • Oxeye Daisy, Red Campion, Ribwort Plantain
    • Yarrow, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Wild Marjoram
    • Meadow Buttercup, Yellow Rattle, Wild Carrot
    • Plus other species such as Self Heal, Common Sorrel and Lady’s Bedstraw

 As this is a natural product, final species composition may vary. 

 

Turf roll details

  • Approx. coverage: 1m² per roll
  • Dimensions: 610mm x 1640mm
  • Depth: approx. 12.5mm
  • Weight: 15kg–20kg (depending on moisture content)
  • Should be unrolled as soon as possible, and installed within 24 hours of delivery in autumn/winter and immediately in spring/summer.

 

This turf is suitable for residential gardens, public green spaces, and landscaping projects focused on sustainability. It can be left to grow naturally or lightly mown to retain its layered, meadow-like appearance. If mowing, we recommend trimming gradually to a minimum height of 35mm (1.5 inches) and collecting clippings to prevent smothering.

Rolawn BioScapes Turf is cultivated using the ProFresh® System to keep it fresher for longer after harvest. Installation should take place within 24 hours of delivery in cooler months and immediately during warmer weather.

Delivery is free of charge to the majority of UK mainland addresses. Your preferred delivery date for Turf and Bulk Bag products can be selected at checkout, however Lawn Seed and Fertiliser orders may be delivered by DPD within 2-3 working days. After placing your order you will receive a further email containing information regarding your delivery.

The delivery method for this product is ‘Tail lift & manual pallet truck’.  Further details can be found in our Delivery Policy.
