Rolawn appoints new Head of Warehousing and Distribution

In a key personnel development to support the growing needs of the business, Rolawn has created a new position heading up the entire warehouse and distribution operation. This new role has been defined as part of ongoing plans to reinforce the company’s position as the UK’s acknowledged market-leading turf grower and producer of high quality topsoils and barks.

The role has been awarded internally to existing Warehouse Operations Manager, Dave Webster, who joined the company in August 2019. Dave now has overall responsibility for the warehousing operation including the management of both turf and bagged products into and through the recently expanded Seaton Ross site, as well as the distribution of finished goods to customers.

Rolawn’s Managing Director, Paul Dawson, commented: “I am delighted that Dave has taken on this new challenge within the business and wish him every success. As Head of Warehousing and Distribution, Dave’s extensive experience in these vital areas will be central to our successful management and supply of products. These two functions must operate with absolute unity in order for us to continue improving our service levels.”

The experience Dave has gained over twenty years working in the Logistics industry will be invaluable in supporting his growing team, in particular Distribution Manager Allison Brooks, whose role changes to that of Contract Manager. Allison takes on responsibility for the day to day contract with Rolawn’s logistics partner, CM Downton.

Commenting on his new role, Dave said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute further to the ongoing development of a market-leading organisation. I am privileged to work alongside such a dedicated team, delivering excellence throughout the Warehousing and Distribution supply chains.”
